Sync/PDI Features for Foodservice Manufacturers
Aligntrac is pleased to announce new features in Sync/PDI: support for the Foodservice Phase One data attributes including special capabilities for manufacturers supplying Dot Foods; and a mass update feature which allows Sync/PDI users to easily add the new foodservice fields to their existing catalogue data.
Sync/PDI users already enjoy the convenience of web screens dynamically tailored to just those data fields that are pertinent to their “channels of distribution” and their product’s commodity classifications. This capability has been extended for foodservice and Dot Foods suppliers. By selecting foodservice and/or Dot Foods users will automatically ensure that their product data meets the requirements of their foodservice distributors.
To make it easy for users to add the new foodservice mandatory data fields to existing items, Sync/PDI now includes a new “turnaround document” capability. With this capability users can upload the new fields to their existing GTINs. To start the process, the user requests an extract which generates a spreadsheet of any existing values for the new foodservice data fields. The user then updates the spreadsheet and uploads the spreadsheet to Sync/PDI.
