Easy Synchronization

NORPAC Foods recently switched to Sync/PDI. NORPAC is a nationally recognized farmer cooperative and processor of premium quality vegetable and fruit products.

NORPAC Foods had been using GDSN for some time with another Solution Partner for their retail trading partners but was looking for a better option to help them expand their use of GDSN to their foodservice trading partners.  GDSN just wasn’t as easy as it should be.

Switching to Sync/PDI was easy. Aligntrac’s support team took care of migrating all of NORPAC’s data, publications and historical information and then conducted training for the existing retail GDSN activities. With the existing retail data sync activities now running smoother than ever, NORPAC turned their attention to the GS1 US Foodservice Initiative.

For foodservice, there is an extensive set of data attributes that the GS1 Foodservice Committee has divided into two phases. Aligntrac’s support team began training on the Foodservice Phase 1 and Foodservice Phase 2 data attributes and at the same time provided training on additional Sync/PDI features that allow NORPAC Foods to integrate data sync into their source applications. NORPAC is looking forward to being able to use the “one-to-many” aspects of GDSN to streamline the flow of product information to their foodservice trading partners, just as GDSN had previously delivered for their retail trading partners.
