Supply Chain Connects at U-Connect 09
This year's U-Connect 09 and 1SYNC User Group Conference were a great success. There were many excellent sessions and it was a great opportunity to meet many of our customers, partners and prospective customers.
A key session was the retailer panel which included Wal-Mart, Lowe's, AAFES, McLane, SuperValu and Wakefern. The retailers went over the status of their current initiatives and some of the key challenges they face.
A common theme was improving the quality of the data and working to ensure that GDSN was the fastest way to list new products.
Wakefern shared the results of their recent study on quality of data and the impacts of data quality on their business. Some of the examples included store shelf labeling fines (net content) and opportunities to save 1,000's of truck trips per year with correct weights.
