Webco Hawaii Speeds Ahead For Wal-Mart
Webco Hawaii is an important part of Wal-Mart's supply chain in the state of Hawaii. Webco Hawaii is a distributor for many large manufacturers and is the vendor-of-record in Hawaii to Wal-Mart and other retailers. Webco Hawaii implemented Sync/PDI for Distributors late last year and is now the most recent addition to 1SYNC's "Retailers/Distributors in Production" list.
Like many Wal-Mart vendors, Webco Hawaii had traditionally completed the Wal-Mart Form33 in order to list new items. This meant diligently copying information provided by manufacturers into the Wal-Mart Form33 often for 100's of items at a time. "This will be a real time saver particularly when our manufacturers are doing large changes. We can ensure that the new items are quickly entered into Wal-Mart's systems" commented Noel Chang, Sr. VP of Webco Hawaii.
Now with Sync/PDI for Distributors, Webco Hawaii is electronically receiving product information and updates from their manufacturers via GDSN and can promptly re-publish this information with the correct local ordering information to meet Wal-Mart's requirements in Hawaii.
Having quickly synchronized hundreds of items across multiple manufacturers, Webco Hawaii is now one of 28 Retailers/Distributors in production on the 1SYNC Data Pool.
